Ensuring 5G & Network Compliance: Pre and Post Upgrade EMF/ICNIRP Surveys
Siroda | 13th August 2026
As mobile network operators (MNOs) and site build partners continue to roll out 5G infrastructure and technology upgrades, maintaining electromagnetic field (EMF) compliance is vital.
At Siroda, we provide independent, expert EMF safety compliance surveys to ensure that base station installations align with the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guidelines and the Control of Electromagnetic Fields at Work (CEMFAW) Regulations.
Pre- and Post-Upgrade Compliance Verification
Upgrading network equipment changes the RF profile of a site. To ensure peace of mind and ongoing regulatory compliance, Siroda offers complete end-to-end verification:
- Pre-Upgrade Baseline Surveys: Establishing existing RF exposure levels before new equipment is installed or activated.
- Post-Upgrade Verification Surveys: Measuring cumulative radio frequency emissions following activation to confirm compliance with public and occupational safety limits.
Measurements at Any Height
Siroda is equipped to carry out RF measurements wherever they are needed:
- Ground Level & Public Access Areas: Assessing exposure levels around pedestrian routes, boundary perimeters, and within adjacent properties.
- Rooftops & At Height: Accessing rooftops and building features, or utilising our portable pump-up mast system, we make measurements at elevated, hard to reach locations. Where greater reach is required, a MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) can be deployed.
Frequency-Selective RF Analysis
Backed by years of field experience, our team uses a fully calibrated Narda SRM-3006 Selective Radiation Meter (9 kHz to 6 GHz). Unlike basic broadband meters, this system isolates individual frequency bands and technologies, allowing us to pinpoint specific contributions against ambient background sources.
